Rise Up Haiti rises again.
After the earth rattled Haiti in 2010, Intrinzic responded with characteristic imagination and agility. Art Director Todd Lipscomb teamed up with photographer Jonathan Willis, who had worked with the Haitian people far before the earthquake further diminished their lot. The Zs rallied the creative community and put on ‘Rise Up Haiti,’ an event filled with art, music, and humanity—all to benefit the people of Haiti.
We soon discovered there are fewer degrees of separation among the creative community than we’d imagined. A bloke in the UK noticed a mention about the event on our own Rob Warnick’s blog http://www.warnickart.com. Caspar Williamson, a member of the Print Club London, was researching for a book entitled Reinventing Screenprinting. He was intrigued by the vibe of the project, especially the decision to screenprint on wood, and asked us if he could cover Rise Up Haiti in his book. The answer, of course, was yes. And you can see the feature here.
